He got his first bass on his fourteenth birthday and was quoted a couple of weeks later as saying, "To hell with all of this, I'm going to play bass forever!!!" From there his fascination with the bass only grew stronger, rivaled only by his obsession with semantics and the 'true meaning of words'. Known as 'The Puller' because of his amazing pulling power, Dave is a unique personality in the band. His subtle sense of humor and laid back attitude are what keep the rest of the band members from killing each other.
